BOONVILLE exhibit in NY featured in The New Yorker magazine
Monday, January 25, 2010

TIMOTHY BRINER
The nineteen black-and-white photographs in Briner’s début, “Boonville,” appear to have been taken in and around the same small American town—a place where deer pelts are draped across the hood of a Dodge and a cross strung with Christmas lights hangs above the garage. But Briner’s Boonville is a composite of six towns with that name spread from New York to California. Because the photographer spent time in each of these places, his work, though clearly opinionated, never feels condescending or reductive. Portraits of the wrestling squad and of a young boy preparing to milk cows alternate with landscapes (several featuring hunters) in an exhibition that begs to be expanded into a book. Through Feb. 27. (Cooney, 511 W. 25th St. 212-255-8158.)

Call the studio today at 702.734.6161 to book your session, there is still time to get your images by Valentines Day if you hurry!
"I recommend Wayne Wallace for all photography needs. I explained that I wanted pictures... to show my appreciation for my husband and how sexy he makes me feel. We felt very comfortable during the session as he took some very sensuous photos of us. We still get excited every time we look at them! I chose Wayne because of his charming personality and I was impressed with his ability to give inanimate objects warmth. If you are in Las Vegas, stop by his studio and meet him. It will absolutely brighten your day!" - Donna Mae
